DONATE TO THE ANNUAL FUND
Gifts to the Annual Fund supports SHIELDS family-centered programs which serves over 10,000 high risk individuals, children, and families annually across South Los Angeles, particularly the Compton and Watts communities through 39 collaborative wrap-around programs in substance abuse, child welfare, mental health, children and youth, and supportive services such as food, clothing, transportation, housing, and educational and vocational training.
SUPPORT A FAMILY THROUGH A PROGRAM
Through 39 programs staffed by professional, credential, dedicated and caring employees SHIELDS provides life changing services for high risk families that include family and individual assessment, substance abuse treatment programs for adults and youth, welcome baby, therapeutic nursery, child welfare and development, home visitation, teen services and counseling, behavioral health services, supportive service such as: housing, vocational training, food and clothing, transportation and resource centers. UNDERWRITE AN EVENT
Shields family of staff, clients and alumni are proud to celebrate the diverse cultures and successes of overcoming adversity for themselves and others throughout the year. Events include the twice a year teen camp, Camp Mariposa, college tour for High School students, graduations from programs for substance abuse, parenting and career training, Cinco De Mayo, Juneteenth, or participation in the Los Angeles AL- impics for recovering substance abuse.
CORPORATE PARTNERSHIP
SHIELDS welcomes corporate partnerships in the opportunity to support the communities of South Los Angeles through the much needed services that SHIELDS provides to over 10,000 families a year. Corporate sponsors are invited to our events where they meet our civic and community leaders who share their interest in developing a stronger community through helping the residents and businesses. SHIELDS additionally shows our appreciation through website and program book recognition.
